In my viewing of several series of Pretty Cure (Futari Wa, Max Heart, Splash Star, Fresh, HeartCatch, Happiness Charge, Hugtto, and watching Star Twinkle in real time), Ive noted a regular catagorization of types of episodes: 1) Origin episodes.
The theme song is pretty catchy (though it got stale after they used it for every attack every episode) Still can't see any reason to recommend it over the original though. I think Ill fudge here for a few moments. And it's such a disappointment, because I absolutely love the music in the original Smile Precure.īut other than that, I liked the voice acting and many of the jokes they added were pretty funny to me. As far as setting the mood, Glitter Force's music failed spectacularly (which is a pretty big thing to me). The music almost drove me insane in Glitter Force it is so repetitive and god awful, it never stops, and changes constantly but with no actual reason most of the time. Also taking out many of the episodes that gave characterization I really didn't like.Īnother big complaint is the music, which was just flat out bad and often times unfitting. But then there are cuts they made that actually changed the meaning/message of the show which I wasn't too thrilled about (taking out much of the crying and completely reworking and changing the message of the Joker/Reika fight episode).
Changing the setting to outside of Japan maybe has more of an effect, but still not too much. Things like name changes I don't really care about, because they really don't change too much (though Rascal is the only one I found to be a pretty poor choice imo).
